Overview:

Just have a few days meet us in Kigale to head out trekking the endangered mountain gorilla with time to visit the Genocide Memorial and Museum and a free day in Ruhengeri to hike to see the golden monkeys or visit Dian Fossey's grave. A safari is a journey and true journeys in Africa unfold and are of an adventurous nature. The unexpected can arise, so do allow for this.

Day 1
Rwanda

Meet up in Kigale, Rwanda's capital city, Ruhengeri.

Optionals: Genocide museum and memorial, orphanage and preschool visit, Batwa village visit, golden monkey trek, visit to Dian Fossey's grave.
Meals: (Breakfast/Dinner)

Days 2 - 3
Ruhengeri

Two days in Ruhengeri
Optionals: Mountain gorilla trek in either Parc National des Volcans (Rwanda) or Bwindi Impenetrable Forest (Uganda).

Day 4
Kigale

Return early morning to Kigale for drop off. Alternatively you can stay on in Ruhengeri if you wish to do an additional day for further activities.

Transport in a fully equipped and deiselled expedition overland truck including all camping and cooking gear, a fridge, gas cooker, tents etc

. Spending money to cover drinks, lunch, souvenirs, and meals and camping when the group isn't with the truck. This money also covers you if you wish to upgrade occasionally from camping. The recommended spending money for the Gorilla stop is £45 - £70.
