TERMS & CONDITIONS

All reservations have been booked under the terms & conditions laid down by the airlines and tour wholesalers. Please pay particular attention to the clauses covering amendments and cancellations as detailed in their brochure or on your booking confirmation. Flower Travel reserve the right to also impose our own fees and a schedule of fees is on display and available on request. All prices quoted in your statement of costs are correct at the time of writing however fares and taxes can change without notice and are not guaranteed until full payment has been made. Deposits merely hold the reservations and do not guarantee prices.

All governments levy various pre-paid airport taxes and where applicable and possible these have been included in the cost of the airline ticket and will be shown in the relevant tax boxes of your ticket. There may be some variations in final costs depending on exchange rate fluctuation and the number of taxes imposed at time of ticketing. Any additional costs or taxes that occur such as departure taxes payable at airports in cash will be the responsibility of the traveller.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

All prices are based on payment by cash, bank transfer or cheque. Cheques will not be accepted for travel within 10 working days of travel. Credit card payments may also be accepted but are subject to the following processing fees:

Visa and Mastercard 2% surcharge

American Express or Diners Club 3% surcharge

CHANGING OR CANCELLING YOUR BOOKING

We will endeavour to assist our customers in making any requested changes to confirmed bookings. Such changes are not always possible. We may charge an amendment fee of at least $55 per person if changes are possible. In addition the customer will be liable for any additional costs incurred by the company or levied by a service provider. Cancellations most be advised to us in writing and are subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant airline or wholesaler. Flower Travel may also levy an administration fee on refunds that may not be covered by travel insurance. Please note that most airlines will not refund partially used tickets nor tickets cancelled within 72 hours of departure.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

The Australian Government recommends that all people travelling to an overseas destination take out travel insurance. Therefore in providing you with the total cost for your travel arrangements we have included a quote for travel insurance. To help you identify which is the most suitable policy for you we have included a copy of our brochure. It is important to read this brochure carefully and to take note of the cover and exclusions as they may relate to your particular circumstances. If you decline the offer to purchase travel insurance passengers will be required to sign an Indemnity Form before travel documents will be released.

PASSPORTS AND VISAS

Passports are required for all international travel. Australian Passports must have a minimum of 6 months validity from the date of scheduled return to Australia and for entry into some countries (USA) must be a "machine readable passport". Any Australian Passport issued in the past 8 years should be a "machine readable passport" if this is not the case then you may need to apply for a new passport to undertake this journey. Please immediately check your current passport .

Travel documents and airline tickets must exactly match the name and spelling as appears in your passport /passports. Additionally, for security reasons some airlines may require all details as they appear in the passport prior to ticketing. Please ensure that you advise your consultant of the correct details at the time of booking. We will need to sight your passport before any documents can be released and we will not be liable for any incorrect information given to us nor for any re-issue fees imposed by the airline or tour wholesaler should re-issue of documentation be required.

If travelling on any passport other than Australian you must inform us immediately as it may be necessary to obtain a re-entry visa into Australia or visae for other countries.

Whilst we offer full assistance it is the responsibility of each traveller to ensure that they have full and correct documentation to undertake their journey.

Australian Passport holders require a visa to enter some countries and your consultant will advise you accordingly. Some countries allow for a "visa free" stay for tourism purposes. If you are travelling on business this does not always apply. Also, if you or members of your travelling party have a recorded criminal offence entry to some countries (e.g. the US) may be denied. Please speak with your travel consultant about this.

Some consulates charge visa fees and we reserve the right to charge a service fee to cover courier fees and the like should we obtain this documentation on your behalf. Issuance of visas is not the responsibility of your travel agent and we cannot be held responsible should you be unable to obtain the correct visas to undertake your journey.

** If you are travelling to or via the United States, you are required to have a machine-readable passport.  Passports issued on or after 26 October 2005 also require a digital photograph for entry into the United States.   If travelling on an Australian passport to the United States, a visa is not required under the U.S visa waiver program but special conditions apply to the program (please see your travel consultant or go online to www.smartraveller.gov.au for all requirements). 

All Nationals of the U.S visa waiver program (VWP) countries who plan to travel to the USA will require an approved Electronic System Travel for Authorisation (ESTA).  This includes Australian, New Zealand & UK passport holders. You can register online at https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov (from 12Jan09, ESTA applications are mandatory).

FREQUENT FLYER PROGRAMS AND SPECIAL REQUESTS

If you are a member of any Frequent Flyer program please ensure that your consultant is aware of this immediately so that the necessary steps can be taken to ensure that you earn the rewards. As a safeguard it is also advisable to keep all your boarding passes so that you can verify this against your Points Summary after travel has been completed. A fee will apply if copies of tickets are subsequently requested for points verification.  Frequent Flyer points are not always available on special fares with some airlines. If you have any special requests e.g.  aisle or window seats, special dietary requests, airport assistance or hotel room type every attempt will be made by us to accommodate your request but as we are not the ultimate service provider we are not in a position to be able to guarantee the request.

TRAVELLERS HEALTH ADVICE

Some areas of the world have special vaccination and health requirements. We recommend that you contact your nearest Travellers Medical Centre who are specialists in this field. Your local doctor may not have access to the most recent World Health Organisation notices. If you are unable to undertake travel because you do not meet the health requirements we will not be liable for any extra costs that may be incurred.
