Essential Uzbekistan

We are able to offer customised itineraries throughout the "Stans", the set of independent Muslim states of central Asia - all of which, until the early 1990's, were part of the Soviet Union. But the true history of this region stems from hundreds of years prior to its more recent time as a Socialist Replublic. Central Asia was at the heart of the iconic Silk Road. Fortunes were made in trading and the spoils are visible today in the array of ornate mosques and Madrassahs that have survived into the modern era. The most popular of our trips is the Essential Uzbekistan, an eight day itinerary that explores the key sights of the most accessible country in this region.
